Discover International Development begins in Michaelmas term with the ‘How to’ lecture series, focusing on different areas from development banks to think-tanks. ‘Insight’ sessions offer the opportunity to hear directly from LSE alumni or experienced development professionals about their personal experiences or the specific work of their organisation. International Organisations Day in November also offers a range of development focussed lectures and talks.
In Lent term the emphasis shifts towards sector themes and ‘Spotlight’ sessions looking at new or emerging trends. As well as supporting your career learning, Discover International Development aims to help you access opportunities to build you experience and your networks by offering events such as breakfast events and careers fairs.
Events are arranged on a rolling basis and it is recommended you stay up to date by checking this webpage and CareerHub.
To attend you must book a place online in advance. Booking usually opens at 9:30am one week before the event. A full list of the Discover International Development (Discover ID) event dates can be found below and on LSE CareerHub. We'll be adding new events on an ongoing basis, so keep checking back for more.
