Careers fairs

Careers fairs give you the chance to meet around 30 employers from a certain industry all looking to recruit LSE students and graduates.

We hold numerous sector-specific careers fairs throughout the year both on campus and overseas and advertise a number of others.

Most events take place in the evenings after timetabled teaching has been completed. Fairs are sometimes held over two evenings and will have different employers attending on each night so make sure to book for both.

You must book to attend in advance; our fairs are only open to LSE students and recent graduates (up to five years).

How to prepare

We publish a brochure for each fair with detailed information on each employer including their recruitment site, number of opportunities available, deadlines and whether or not they are able to sponsor visas. Make sure to review these brochures on LSE CareerHub before attending.

Watch this seminar recording by a careers consultant for advice on how to prepare and approach careers fairs, what to expect and how to ensure you make the most of the unique opportunities they provide.

How to dress

Employers expect to see students and won't expect you to be dressed for the office but you could be meeting potential employers, so do consider your appearance. We normally recommend smart-casual.

For the Law, Banking and Financial Services, Internship and Consultancy fairs we would encourage students to dress appropriately for those sectors. This doesn't mean you should purchase a new suit, but it should look as if you have made an effort to appear smart!
