Through our Patrons we are able to deliver a service to meet the needs of our diverse and ambitious students. Funds raised from LSE Careers Patrons make it possible for us to develop new and innovative work-based learning initiatives as well as maintain some of our most popular services such as the Volunteer Centre.
Being a Patron of LSE Careers is the best way for you to keep up to date with all the developments at the School and will help to inform your recruitment strategy. You will have an Employer Engagement Adviser to help plan your recruitment activities at LSE and can meet regularly with our team of Careers Consultants to hear what students are saying.
Benefits of patronage
One of our team of Employer Engagement Advisers will work with you throughout the year to develop the best strategy for raising awareness of your organisation and opportunities with our students.
LSE Careers will share one social media post per year on your behalf. This could be an insight into your sector or industry, a quote from an LSE graduate in your organisation or advice for students and graduates interested in your sector. LSE Careers Patrons will also be included in an exclusive social media post at the start of the year via the LSE Careers LinkedIn and Twitter pages designed to acknowledge their support and contribution to the development of our students and graduates.
All LSE Careers Patrons are listed on the LSE Careers Patron webpage . Students and alumni can click straight through to your CareerHub profile from this page; and therefore increasing awareness of your brand.
All LSE Careers Patrons can contribute two blog posts per year, providing insight and expertise on a theme or topic from the perspective of both a recent graduate and a more senior member of the organisation. Topics are allocated on a first come basis. Blogs will be featured on the LSE Careers Blog.
Competition for space on campus every autumn is high. LSE Careers Patrons are given an exclusive period of time to reserve their places at events ahead of bookings opening for all other organisations.
Want to create a bespoke event? Want to hold an event for a target group of students and alumni? Our Design Your Own Event option provides you with the flexibility to create a tailored event that suits the specific needs of your organisation.
Sending a targeted email is a highly effective way of promoting your opportunities or events to a specific group of students and alumni, allowing you to reach the most interested or qualified group directly. Patrons benefit from one free targeted email a year; this can be any type of targeted email.
A great way to differentiate yourself from other employers, an enhanced profile provides your organisation with a customisable landing page on CareerHub. This includes links to your website and social media accounts. You will also be listed as a ‘featured employer’ when students and alumni explore the different organisations active on the portal.
Our sector overview dashboards provide an overview of LSE graduate employment destinations after graduation.
Our annual Patron Engagement Dashboards provides valuable data on the effectiveness of your on-campus (in person and online) activities and can help inform your recruitment and engagement strategy going forward.
One of our most popular services with students, these sessions are interactive and designed to educate students on key skills and topics from employers across a broad range of sectors and industries. Previous sessions have covered case-study interviews, commercial awareness, video interviewing and many more. As spaces are limited on the programme we aim to have representation from a diverse range of sectors.
From time to time we organise events that allow employers to meet with key stakeholders within LSE, such as academic and professional services. Patrons will be invited to participate in these events and will also have the opportunity to network and share best practice with other employers from a range of sectors.
LSE Careers Patrons will receive preferential rates on all LSE Executive Education courses. LSE believes in the importance of continuous professional development. We strive to equip our delegates with the skills and knowledge to be competitive in an increasingly complex business environment. We are pleased to be able to offer a 15% discount to your employees.
In recognition of the support provided by LSE Careers Patrons for the LSE Volunteer Centre, Patrons are invited to attend the LSE Volunteer of the Year Award. Jointly hosted with the LSESU RAG Society, the award celebrates volunteering and fundraising at LSE. Patrons will have the opportunity to meet with outstanding student volunteers, charities that have recruited students over the past year as volunteers and fundraisers and LSE staff and academics.
Membership is open to direct recruiters from all sectors; however, space is limited.
