Meet LSE students at our flagship careers events

Our sector-specific careers fairs held on campus in London and overseas in Brussels, Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong are our flagship events and a great way to raise the profile of your organisation.

They are the most effective way to engage in a short timeframe with a cross-section of our student and alumni population.

We host the following fairs annually:

Michaelmas Term  (September - December)

Banking and Financial Services Fair

  • Tuesday 1 and Thursday 3 October 2019 5:30-9pm

As a sector, banking and financial services remains the most popular destination for our students after graduation. This event offers organisations spanning across the financial services industry the opportunity to showcase the variety of roles available to our highly-qualified students.

Volunteering Fair

  • Monday 7 October 2019 5-8pm

The LSE Volunteer Centre encourages volunteering amongst its students and supports students to find meaningful volunteering opportunities.

This annual event provides organisations with the opportunity to promote a variety of voluntary roles to students in a careers fair format. In 2018 over 50 organisations attended the volunteering fair and engaged with over 500 students at the event.

Registered UK charities currently recruiting for UK and/or international voluntary opportunities are welcome to apply.

This event is free of charge to attend but organisations will be charged £100 if they pull out at late notice.

Consultancy Fair

  • Tuesday 8 and Thursday 10 October 2019 5:30-9pm

As one of our most popular events in the calendar, this fair is the prime opportunity for organisations operating in the consultancy sphere to engage with our highly-qualified students and build their brand on campus.

We welcome bookings from organisations with roles in a variety of fields including management, strategy, economic, financial, public, health, technology, human resources and others.

Internships Fair

  • Tuesday 15 October 2019 5:30-9pm

If your organisation is looking for access to first-year undergraduate and penultimate year students seeking spring week or internship placements during their studies, this fair is a great opportunity for early engagement and to raise your profile with our highly-motivated students.

Traditionally, this fair has attracted organisations operating within the financial, consultancy or professional services sectors offering structured internship programmes.

The LSE Graduate Jobs Fair

  • Tuesday 29 October 2019 5:30 – 8pm  

The LSE Graduate Jobs Fair attracts highly-talented undergraduate and postgraduate students and alumni from a broad range of degree backgrounds and year groups. This non-sector specific fair provides employers with the opportunity to promote graduate jobs from a wide variety of different business areas. The LSE Graduate Jobs Fair is open to employers from all industry sectors looking to raise their profile and target students for graduate positions.

Public Sector and Policy Fair

  • Thursday 17 October 2019 5:30-8pm

LSE has a strong history of political activity and actively engaged students. We welcome bookings from central or local government, executive and statutory bodies, non-governmental organisations, think tanks, political consultancies and private sector organisations engaged in work within the public sector.

The LSE Careers Public Sector and Policy Careers Fair is part of the Public Sector and Policy Careers events programme which includes a number of events including seminars, breakfasts and panels.

Prices start from £0 for public sector organisations, £350 for private sector.

Law Fair

  • Tuesday 22 and Thursday 24 October 2019 5:30-9pm

LSE's Department of Law is widely recognised as one of one of the world's leading centres for the study of law, ranked first for research outputs in the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF) and seventh worldwide in the 2017 QS World University rankings. Our Law Fair for solicitors allows you to meet with both law and non-law students to raise the profile of your firm on campus.

For barristers, we run an annual networking evenings to engage with students and graduates interested in pursuing a career in this area.

International Organisations Day

  • Saturday 9 November 8:30am-6pm

LSE has pleasure in inviting multilaterals and international organisations to participate in this year's International Organisations Day (IOD) which takes place on Saturday 9 November at our central London campus. Following the pattern of previous years, the event will once again be based in our New Academic Building on Lincoln's Inn Fields.

We have space for around sixteen organisations and in line with previous years would expect over 1,200 students and graduates in attendance - around two thirds from LSE and the remaining from seventeen other leading universities and business schools in England and France.

Lent Term (January - March)

International Development Volunteering Fair

  • Tuesday 30 January 2018 5-7pm

The fair is aimed at facilitating contact between international development organisation and LSE students who are interested in this field.

We welcome applications from charities and organisations who will have paid or voluntary opportunities over the next 12 months. This event is part of the LSE Careers International Development Events Programme.

European Internships Fair (in Brussels)

  • Friday 22 February 2019 9am-1pm
  • Location: Central Brussels location, Belgium

Now in its 13th year, this Brussels-based event engages employers from sectors including consultancy, public policy, communications, public affairs and development alongside representatives from government and international organisations with operations at the heart of Europe.

Hosted in collaboration with Sciences Po in Paris and the College of Europe in Bruges, students will be in attendance from programmes including comparative politics, media and communications, public affairs, international development, management, gender studies, corporate and European law and many others, alongside those undertaking programmes in our European Institute

This is a unique opportunity for you to meet students from three of the most prestigious educational institutions in the world. In 2018 this event was fully booked with over 20 organisations in attendance, and a waiting list in operation for both exhibitors and students - act quickly to avoid disappointment.

Summer vacation (August)

Asia Careers Fairs (in Beijing, Hong Kong, and Shanghai)

For over 10 years now, these unique events are an effective way to meet high calibre students and graduates from some of the best universities in the world. These fairs are a collaboration between The London School of Economics and Political Science, University of Cambridge and Imperial College London.

LSE Careers fairs are exclusively for our students and recent alumni. If you are listing your attendance on your website, or through other channels, please make this clear as we will not admit external students under any circumstances.

Attendance at our UK fairs includes

  • your stand position (3x2m)

  • detailed entry and organisation logo in the digital fair brochure

  • link to your recruitment website

  • wireless internet (via The Cloud)

  • refreshments for your representatives throughout
