The LSE Volunteer Centre team organises lots of different volunteering events throughout the year for you to get involved in. You can find all our events listed below and you can book your place on CareerHub.

One-off volunteering

Afraid you don’t have time to volunteer? Or have you never volunteered before? Why not join one of our one-off volunteering opportunities and meet students from around the school whilst doing something good. Opportunities take up maximum one day, with no further commitment.

One-off volunteering: Transcribe anti-slavery manuscripts

Try something different and develop a new skills at a one-off volunteering session! Transcribe correspondence between anti-slavery activists in the 19th century is waiting to be discovered in collections of handwritten pages.

One-off volunteering: The Felix Project

One-off volunteering: Post Pals

Help ‘post a smile on a child’s face’ by sending a card or letter to seriously ill children and their siblings. You can read a bit about the children, choose to whom you’ll write, and then make a card or write a letter to help make them smile and feel less isolated.

To celebrate the LSESU Wellbeing Festival, the LSE Volunteer Centre is getting creative in our one-off volunteering program. Come along to learn how to knit and create squares to contribute to a blanket for the cats at Battersea Dogs and Cats home.
