What is the Change Makers programme?
Change Makers is a new collaborative programme between LSE and LSE Students’ Union which gives students the chance to make meaningful change at LSE through independent research.
Beginning in 2018/19, Change Makers funded approximately £50,000 worth of student-led research projects. In 2019/20, this funding will be increased to £65,000, across areas covering:
- Community at LSE
- Inclusive education
- Research and education
- Assessment and feedback
More details about the 2019/20 programme will be available shortly.
At the end of the project, applicants will be asked to present findings and recommendations to senior leadership across LSE and LSESU.
Who can apply?
The Change Makers programme is open to all students, whatever your level of study. You're welcome to apply to the programme as a group or as an individual.
What sort of project can I do?
You are invited to submit your application based on one of the four themes listed above. Take a look at the application guidelines, where you'll find ideas and suggestions to get you thinking about about what your research might investigate.
There are also pre-defined areas of research which you can apply to work on. These project ideas will be listed in the Change Makers guidelines for 2019/20, which are currently being drafted and will be available online soon.
How can I apply?
Applications will be open on this site on Monday 7 October 2019, and will remain open until the end of October.
