I am a Professor in the Law Department at LSE and have degrees in Law, Sociology and Art History. My research focuses on the dynamics of disputes and representations of justice. It has been supported by a number of external grants and I am currently in receipt of research funding from the AHRC and Leverhulme Trust.
I am a former Chair of the UK Socio-Legal Studies Association and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences. My research has a strong inter-disciplinary flavour and I am an editor of the International Journal of Social and Legal Studies. As Director of the PhD Academy I take responsibility for strategic development, liaising with funders and research users, and overseeing all the activity of the Academy.
