Early Arrivals

and pre-sessional students

There is a range of support available if you arrive early to LSE, whether that's to undertake pre-sessional teaching or for additional time to settle in.

You might be expected to arrive before LSE Welcome (Friday 20 and Monday 23 to Friday 27 September 2019) to take part in pre-sessional teaching for an MSc programme or develop your language skills. Alternatively, you might choose to come to London early to give yourself additional time to settle in or find accommodation.

Welcome Guide

The first section of the Welcome Guide will be dedicated to things that you can do before LSE Welcome officially starts.

Student bank accounts and travel discounts

You may be able to set up a bank account prior to registration, however some tasks, such as securing student discounts on travel cards cannot be done until after you have registered as a student.
