New Student Registration

for Undergraduates

When to register, where to go and what to bring with you

Registration-1

When

Registration dates for students starting in 2018 undergraduate students will be published here in early 2018.

You will be able to see when your specific programme is due to register by checking the Undergraduate Registration Schedule, once it becomes available.

We expect you to register on time, however we also recognise that this may not always be possible. If you expect to register late please first make sure that your department is happy with late registration you can then attend one of the following dedicated late registration sessions.

Registration should take around one hour to complete but times do vary depending on how busy we get.

Where

Registration for undergraduate students takes place on the Ground Floor of Clement House. There will be signs and staff on hand to help you when you arrive.

Late Registration sessions take place in the Student Services Centre, on the Ground Floor of the Old Building.

To find out where the registration venues are located please visit Maps and Directions.

What to bring

When you register we are legally required to check your eligibility to study in the UK. We do this by checking various documents. The documents you'll need vary depending on your nationality and visa (if applicable). If you do not bring the appropriate identification documents we will not be able to register you on your programme.

For details of what you need to bring with you please visit what to bring to registration

In order to avoid delaying your registration, please ensure that you have submitted all required documents to Undergraduate Admissions in good time. All admissions documentation, such as transcripts , should be received by post no later than Wednesday 1 August 2018. The online Student Verification and Financial Undertaking forms should be submitted via LSE for You no later than Friday 27 July 2018.

Undergraduate Admissions will be available at registration to process any missing documents but it will slow your registration if you need to submit documents to them first. If you do have outstanding documents it would be sensible to bring copies with you.

In accordance with UK Home Office requirements, the School is required to take a scan of ALL students' passports or national identity cards at registration.

Can I register early?

Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to register you before the allocated time and date.

If you are planning to arrive at LSE before the start of term then please visit our Early Arrivals page for details of the support provided.

What if I am late?

We expect you to register on time. In exceptional circumstances it may, however, be possible for you to register late.

All undergraduate students must have registered by Friday 19 October 2018 but some programmes have earlier cut-off dates. If you are going to register late you must contact your academic department to discuss when you can register.

Dates, times and locations for late registration sessions will be published here during Welcome.

Visit Late Arrivals for tips on settling in if you miss your scheduled Registration time.
