Use your voice: take the 2019 Staff Survey

The Staff Survey is your chance to share your views and help us work together to improve LSE.

The Staff Survey, running from 18 February until 15 March 2019, is your chance to share your views and help us work together to improve LSE.

The confidential online questionnaire asks all staff about their experience of working at our School, and takes just 10 minutes to complete. Your feedback helps us to identify both the School’s strengths and where we need to improve – it’s important that we receive as much evidence as possible to inform our future planning and to measure the success of our new School strategy.

Your individual responses are completely anonymous and no-one at the School can access your answers. Individual responses will not be identifiable.

Accessing the survey

As a member of LSE staff, you’ll receive an email inviting you to complete the Staff Survey from ORC, the indepedent research organisation administering the survey. This email will include a unique link which you can click on to access the survey.

If you or a colleague don’t have access to a work computer, you can choose to identify a personal email address and still complete the survey during paid work time. Any staff who are experiencing issues accessing their online link should contact the ORC International Helpdesk at The Helpdesk is open 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.  

Please note that there will be no extension to the survey period.

What will happen to the survey results?

LSE’s Director and the School Management Committee (SMC) are firmly committed to understanding the results of the survey, including all qualitative feedback. SMC will use results to inform the development, implementation and measurement of School-wide staff engagement as part of the School’s 2030 strategy, where the commitment to developing LSE for everyone is clear.

Alongside this, each department, division, service and centre across our School will be expected to use local results to develop individual plans in their own areas, with the input of staff.  More information and guidance will be available in due course.
