Staff Common Room (SCR) 

The SCR is a space for LSE staff offering social and networking opportunities to enhance staff wellbeing and the collegiality of the institution. 

The location of the SCR is the fifth floor of the Old Building. It is open during all hours that the School is open. It can be accessed by all staff, and is available for use throughout the day as a quiet space for lunch, reading and informal meetings. 

It is not possible to book this space for private use throughout the day, but it can be booked via Resource Booker for events that take place after 4pm. 

Staff Dining Room (SDR)

The SDR is located next to the Common Room. This is open for lunch throughout term time.

Reservations are not required as standard. However, if you wish to reserve a table for a large group. to ensure a seat, you are advised to contact Aga Basza or call 020 7955 7821 to make arrangements. 

Please note that bookings are essential for Christmas Lunch days, which will be advertised by Catering in advance.

Book display case

The Senior Dining Room display cabinet is a space where all LSE staff can showcase their latest publications. Please share your details with us using this form to register interest in having your book featured on the shelf.

Once the bookcase is full, we will rotate publications by removing the oldest book submission and replacing it with the newest. If we remove your publication from being on display, we will do our best to return it to you.
