Andrew Young manages the majority of central professional services including: Estates, HR, IMT, Communications, Risk & Compliance, EDI, ARD, Residences & Catering and has oversight of the administration of the School. He sits on School Management Committee and is based in the Executive Office. He runs Professional Services Staff Briefings each term, introduced the annual PS Staff Conference in 2017. He has also introduced clusters and business partners structure, which is aimed to allow the central services and academic departments to better support each other. 

Andrew's focus is very much on staff development and staff engagement. He also enjoys being a part of the Estates redevelopment projects and works closely with LSESU and the Staff Networks.

Andrew joined the School in 2015 from London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine as LSE's first Chief Operating Officer. Andrew had previously managed faculty operations and has a PhD in Zoology.  Andrew is from the North-East of England but is now a proud South-East Londoner.  He also sits on the Finance and Development Board of LSHTM and the Board of NCG.
