A productive trilateral workshop in Uganda

The workshop was an amazing opportunity to be able to really co-produce a funding bid.

Dr Elizabeth Storer

Dr Elizabeth Storer, who works at the Firoz Lalji Institute for Africa, coordinated a tripartite workshop with researchers at the Uganda Cancer Institute (UCI) and Uganda-UK Health Alliance with Dr Solomon Kamurari and Dr Nixon Niyonzima.

Inspired by past collaborative projects such as 'Living the Everyday', Dr Storer and Dr Kamurari (UUKHA) met with researchers at UCI to co-produce research to bring attention to the multi-scalar factors causing a decline in cancer care. This workshop provided an opportunity to co-produce research questions and to embark on a joint funding application for a future project on ‘Inequality and Cancer Care’. As such it was a significant event in solidifying research conversations which have occurred virtually over the last year.
