About me

Catherine provides support to individuals, departments and centres across the School in developing and fulfilling research impact strategies. She leads the preparation of high-quality impact case studies for the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and as part of the School's KEI Integrated Service, contributes to our Knowledge Exchange Framework and Knowledge Exchange Concordat submission.

Catherine has a research background in transnational and settler colonial urban history, including a PhD in History from McGill University and an International Council for Canadian Studies’ Postdoctoral Fellowship held at UCL’s Institute of the Americas. She joined the team in 2023 from the University of Surrey where she worked on REF, impact and research development, and supported wider research and innovation activities across the arts, humanities and social sciences.
