Social Venture Pathway launched

11 March 2024

LSE Innovation has launched the Social Venture Pathway, an ASPECT-funded project designed to support faculty members that are working with LSE Innovation to form a social venture. A social venture is a mission-driven business with a mission statement embedded in their governance documents. They can be a useful route to generate wider impact from your research.

The Social Venture Pathway is a self-guided programme to help you launch your own social venture. The pathway is full of bitesize information and templates to introduce what a social venture is, how to create a theory of change, how to do impact measurement, as well as options for your legal structure and impact investors.

There are two ways to access the resources. Both links include the same resources:

-       Browse the Social Venture Pathway online.

-       As a member of LSE, you can sign up to the ASPECT platform to take the course and earn a badge.

This programme will form the basis of a new training hub being created by the new ImpactU initiative, which will launch later this year. Watch out for further updates!

If you would like to form a social venture from your research, you will need to submit a disclosure to the LSE Innovation team. Please contact us via innovation@lse.ac.uk to discuss your idea.
