The public launch of the School’s major engagement and philanthropy Campaign, Shaping the World, in November 2021 marked a significant moment in our ambition to become the world’s leading social science university with the greatest global impact.

Staff from across the School are engaged in work that will collectively enable the School to achieve our Campaign goals of raising £350 million in philanthropic income and 100,000 hours of volunteered time in support of activity and work that benefits LSE’s global community and helps to shape a better world.

The figures below show our progress to date:

Campaign totals

Since public launch, we have seen an increase of 7.5% towards our £350m Campaign goal for philanthropic income, and 18% towards our volunteering goal of 100,000 volunteer hours.

Philanthropy

Every gift makes a difference. Our donors are individuals and organisations from every corner of the world and all walks of life, and their generous support shapes our community and the world for the betterment of society.
