The Inclusive Education (IE) programme has evolved from the original Inclusive Education Action Plan (IEAP) launched in 2019. We have adapted to significant changes in higher education and at LSE, including the Access and Participation Plan (APP) and enhanced support for students with disabilities and reasonable adjustments.
Our Five Focus Areas
1. Academic Mentoring
Supporting meaningful connections between students and faculty
2. Curriculum Enhancement
Developing content that reflects our diverse community
3. Inclusive Assessment
Ensuring our students are supported and prepared for assessments leading to equitable outcomes.
4. Anti-Racism in Education
Embedding anti-racist practices across teaching and learning
5. Inclusive Pedagogies
Implementing teaching approaches that support every student's success.
Collaborative Evolution
Our programme thrives through partnership between staff and students. Together, we:
- Address current challenges in inclusive education
- Develop forward-thinking strategies
- Anticipate the needs of our diverse academic community
- Create lasting positive change at LSE
