Using our investments and financing as an opportunity to make a positive ESG impact
- In 2022, LSE launched its Sustainable Finance Framework (SFF), to raise private placements and other green financing to fund environmentally and socially sustainable projects at LSE. S&P Global Ratings provided a Second Party Opinion confirming the framework’s alignment to international Green and Social Bond Principles.
- So far, financing raised through the SFF has been used to support the construction of green buildings on LSE campus (such as the Marshall Building and 35 Lincoln’s Inn Fields) and to support access and participation to LSE for students from lower income households, via the LSE Bursary.
- LSE publishes annual Impact and Allocation Reports to report on the use of SFF proceeds and the positive impact this has had on our School community. The reports are independently verified by external assurance providers, who issue an accompanying assurance statement.
