Why request a buddy?
A buddy is someone who has been in your shoes and understands what it’s like to be new. They will help you navigate your first few months by offering informal guidance, support, and a friendly face.

How to request a buddy:
It’s easy! Just complete the short Buddy Request Form, and we will match you with a colleague who fits your role, team, or interests as closely as possible.

Why become a buddy?
Being a buddy is a rewarding way to support a new colleague and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive workplace. It’s also a great opportunity to build your coaching, communication, and leadership skills.
What does being a buddy involve?
- Meeting your new starter (virtually or in person) during their first 3-6 months
- Providing practical advice
- Helping them build connections and understand LSE's culture
- Signposting them to useful resources
