The School is pleased to announce the launch of the flu vaccination programme for 2026/27. To support staff and student wellbeing, free onsite flu vaccination clinics have been arranged to take place on campus during September/October 2026.
The flu vaccination programme is an important part of the School’s ongoing commitment to keeping our community safe. The seasonal flu vaccine helps protect you against the strains of flu expected to circulate this winter. All students and staff are encouraged to get a flu vaccine unless it would be detrimental to your health and/or because of other personal exemptions.
The vaccinations have been organised through Bupa. All staff and students can book a flu vaccination on the Bupa booking platform. The booking system is very simple to use, and guidance is available on the platform.

3 Choose a suitable appointment time.
4 Check your email for confirmation from noreply@bupa.com.

Flu vaccination programme details
Vaccination clinics will take place from Tuesday 29 September to Thursday 22 October 2026, every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 9.00am and 5.30pm on campus (ground floor of Connaught House (Old NatWest Bank), 65 Aldwych, WC2B 4DS).
- Vaccinations will take no longer than five minutes.
- Please remember to bring your LSE ID card with you to your appointment.
- When you arrive, please report to the reception desk. The nurse will come out to take you to the clinic room. You will be provided with a consent form to sign.

To help make the flu vaccination programme available to as many people as possible, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 48 hours before your appointment time if you are unable to attend. Vaccines are delivered to campus based on booked appointments and cannot be reused if an appointment is missed. Changes can be made quickly and easily using the link in your booking confirmation email, allowing the appointment to be offered to another staff member or student.

To book a flu vaccination appointment, you will be asked to provide basic personal details such as your name, date of birth, contact details and LSE email address. This information is used to manage your booking and administer the vaccination programme.
Please note: If you hold a Bupa insurance policy or another Bupa product, Bupa may link the information provided as part of your vaccination booking with information it already holds about you. For more information about how your personal data may be used, please see the Bupa Privacy Notice.
If your appointment is more than 48 hours away, please cancel or reschedule it through the link in the booking confirmation email so that your appointment can be offered to someone else, and we can reduce the waste of any remaining vaccines.
If you miss your appointment or are unable to amend it, you may be able to book another available slot.
We ask everyone to arrive no more than 5 minutes before their appointment time to help the clinic run smoothly and avoid unnecessary queues.
However, if arriving earlier is the only way you can fit your appointment around your work or study commitments, you are welcome to attend earlier. Please be aware that you may need to wait until the clinical team is able to accommodate you.
Alternatively, if you are unable to attend at your allocated time, you may be able to attend as a walk-in, subject to availability.
If you miss your appointment but are still able to attend the clinic on the same day before 4.00pm, please come to the clinic and let the staff at the reception desk know that you have missed your scheduled appointment. We will do our best to accommodate you.
If you are unable to attend on the same day, you may still be able to book another appointment if slots remain available. During the clinic period, you may also be able to attend as a walk-in, subject to availability.
Walk-in vaccinations may be available, subject to vaccine availability and clinic capacity. To guarantee a vaccination, please book an appointment through the Bupa booking portal.
If there are no slots available on the booking portal, you are welcome to turn up without an appointment after 4.00pm; if there are vaccinations left, the nurses will be able to offer one to you. Please note that we cannot guarantee the availability of the vaccines at the end of the day.
Flu vaccines are being acquired at cost by the School, and we would therefore like to prioritise those individuals who are likely to find it hardest to receive a flu jab by other means. If you have been offered a free flu vaccine through the NHS, we encourage you to book an appointment at your GP surgery.
According to Bupa advice, it is not possible to offer vaccines to members of staff who are 65 or over; please arrange for a free flu jab via your local NHS provider which offers a higher level of protection for the immune system.
Yes. Step-free access is available via the side entrance next to the Wright Bar on Houghton Street.

No. The flu vaccination programme is designed to offer convenient access on campus during the scheduled period, and unfortunately, we’re unable to reimburse flu vaccinations purchased at local pharmacies.
