Johannes P. Huth – Managing Director, GBL / Senior Advisory Partner, KKR

Johannes Huth joined Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (“GBL”) as Managing Director in 2025.

He joined KKR in 1999 and became a Senior Advisory Partner in 2024. Prior to that, he was a Partner of KKR and Chairman of KKR’s operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to joining KKR, Mr. Huth was a member of Investcorp’s management committee and was also responsible for the firm’s operations in Europe from January 1991 to January 1999. From June 1986 to January 1991, he was with Salomon Brothers, where he was a vice president in the mergers and acquisitions departments in London and New York.

Mr. Huth is currently a member of the Boards of GBL, Axel Springer SE, Marshall Wace Ltd and Imerys S.A.

He is a Member of the Board of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Emeritus Trustee of the Design Museum in London, Trustee of the Staedel Museum in Frankfurt and the American Academy in Berlin, Member of Council and Chairman of the Finance and Estates Committee for the London School of Economics, Member of the ‘Help for Threatened Wildlife Foundation’ Board of ZGF, the Frankfurt Zoological Society, as well as a member of the Global Advisory Board of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Additionally, he is a visiting fellow to Oxford University and a fellow of the Royal Society of the Arts. In 2025, he was named Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French Minister of Culture.

Mr. Huth holds a B.Sc. with highest honors from the London School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
