The 2020/2021 scheme is suspended. We are monitoring the situation closely and will resume this activity with our partners as soon as we can.
This scheme enables LSE PhD students to undertake research for two to three months at one of the institutional partners listed below.
It offers our research students a wonderful opportunity to visit another institution, to benefit from additional research resources (archival and advisory) and to experience the academic culture and professional networks of another country. Successful applicants may also work on related publications/presentations, or attend conferences and workshops both at the host institution and within the wider national academic community.
Students interested in applying for visits taking place during the 2020-2021 academic year should read our guidance notes and submit their application by midnight on Sunday 19th April 2020.
Places to visit the following parners will be available:
- The University of California, Berkeley
- Columbia University (New York)
- Peking University (Beijing)
- Fudan University (Shanghai)
- Sciences Po (Paris)
Successful applicants will receive up to £2,500 towards travel expenses, accommodation, subsistence, educational materials and/or other education-related costs.
