Philippa has worked in market research and intelligence both in higher education and the private sector, providing evidence to facilitate better decision making across a wide range of areas.
Within the Market Research and Intelligence function she manages both primary and secondary market research projects often combining methods to build up a comprehensive answer the School’s key questions.
She works across:
- Primary research projects, including qualitative and quantitative research, to uncover the views of prospective and current students
- Secondary research projects, including analysing sector and institution data to better understand overall market demand, demand for specific programmes and changes to existing programmes
- Insight sharing, including contributions to our monthly Market Research and Intelligence Bulletin and periodic Bulletin+
Our research informs strategy and policymaking in areas related to recruitment and admissions, as well as supporting portfolio development. MRI works closely with colleagues across the School to integrate research findings and turn insight into actions.
