Remote access

For information on accessing ARD Systems resources away from the LSE campus, please see the information below.

Salesforce

As a cloud-based platform, you will be able to use Salesforce from home as you would on campus. Salesforce can be accessed here: https://lse360.my.salesforce.com/

If you are a Graduate Selector, you can access the Online Selection Portal here on the same link as above, navigating to the Graduate Selection app once you have logged in.

You will be able to log in using your standard LSE credentials.

SITS

You will first need to connect to the LSE network remotely using one of the methods below:

1. Remote Desktop Connection: You can access SITS remotely using one of the methods for both Mac and Windows systems outlined here: https://info.lse.ac.uk/staff/divisions/dts/help/guides-faqs/IT-remote-access/IT-Remote-Access?from_serp=1

  • Once connected, you can open SITS as normal. You can find SITS under 'Start' > All Programs > Administrative Applications > SITS > SITS Live)

2. VPN (Virtual Private Network) access:

  • Install the Pulse Secure VPN on your machine. Instructions on how to do this can be found here.

  • Next step is to download SITS, a copy of which ARDS Systems can provide to you. Once downloaded, unzip the file and save this to your machine.

  • Make sure that you have the Pulse VPN connected and running before you open SITS. If prompted for a username, type in: LSE/yourusername and enter your LSE password.

  • You should now be able to access SITS as normal.

Which version of remote access should I use for SITS?

  • Accessing SITS remotely using any of the above methods will result in a slower user experience compared to accessing it directly from the LSE network. However, there will be some advantages and disadvantages to each method that may inform your judgement as to which version to use:
