LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university.

LSE’s commitment to embedding and mainstreaming equity, diversity and inclusion is set out in our 2024 - 2028 EDI Strategy and Implementation Plan

The strategy informs a focus on the following overarching objectives:

1) Advancing equal Opportunities - Focus on diversifying our staff and student body by attracting and retaining diverse talent

2) Engaging with LSE's communities - Increasing equity diversity and inclusion through fostering good campus relations

3) Staff and student experience - Strengthening our community by creating belonging through inclusive education and employment

4) Safeguarding the community - Ensuring an inclusive environment through a robust reporting and support system with preventative measures through training and educational programmes

5) Research with purpose - Enhance LSE’s impact through tackling structural barriers to research through enhanced financial and leadership support

6) Embed EDI values - Ensuring holistic success of LSE’s strategy by embedding EDI in the university’s operational function, financial commitments as well as LSE’s brand

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy 2022 informs a focus on the following overarching areas of focus:

1) To advance diversity of student recruitment, equity of attainment, and an inclusive community

2) To promote inclusive teaching, education and engagement

3) To promote diversity amongst the School's staff communities, and an inclusive staff experience

4) To achieve an inclusive School environment, which promotes equality of respect and opportunity for all members of the School's diverse community.
