Disability and Wellbeing Staff Network

DAWN runs a range of events. Our Monthly Meet-Ups are an opportunity for members to meet informally. To stay in the loop on all DAWN events, sign up to our mailing list and join our Teams channel.

DAWN Peer Support Cafes

DAWN is happy to facilitate two regular peer support cafes for members. These are informal, welcoming spaces in which you can meet other people with similar experiences and chat over a cup of tea and a biscuit. We are always happy to facilitate other thematic cafes if members have suggestions. Please contact us as dawn@lse.ac.uk to suggest a new cafe.

  • Neurodivergence Cafe: a peer support group for people who identify as neurodivergent or are interested in learning more about neurodivergence. Frequent topics of discussion include reasonable adjustments, the process of getting a diagnosis, and the challenges of being neurodivergent in the office. We meet on the second Thursday of every month at 2pm in the Hall Carpenter Room.
  • Grief Cafe: a peer support group for people who have lost someone or want to learn more about loss. We discuss topics such as managing grief, honouring loved ones who have passed away, and managing 'death admin'. We meet on the third Wednesday of every month in the Hall-Carpenter Room.
