NUS started out as a modest medical school with 23 students in 1905, founded by a determined group of businessmen led by Tan Jiak Kim, to serve the needs of the local community. Today NUS is one of Asia's leading universities with over 38,000 students accross three different campuses.

LSE and NUS have been institutional partners for ten years and collaborate on a number of projects, including a dual Masters of Public Affairs, and a double degree with the departement of International History.

Dual Programme/Master of Public Administration (MPA)

LSE offers a Masters of Public Administration within the School of Public Policy with a special emphasis on rigorous empirical training, particularly in economics, econometrics and political science, and the opportunity to spend their second year at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKY).

NEW LSE-NUS Double Degree MA Asian and International History

This new and exciting two-year master’s program taught by the National University of Singapore and the London School of Economics is designed for students interested in studying Asia from an international perspective. It is also for those interested in decentring international history by studying it from an Asian perspective.
