Professor JIN Li, President of Fudan University led a university delegation visiting our campus on 21 November 2023. The presidential delegation was received by our Vice President and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Planning & Resources), Professor Eric Neumayer. Faculty members of the two universities discussed several areas of collaboration including research collaboration, double degrees, and study abroad programmes.
As part of the visit, the Fudan University delegation visited our School of Public Policy (SPP), home to the LSE-Fudan Global Public Policy Hub. Professor Tony Travers, the Associate Dean of SPP welcomed the delegation and gave a tour of the SPP, followed by a progress update presentation about the LSE-Fudan Global Public Policy Hub.
The delegation also attended the in person LSE-Fudan Annual Conference on 'Public Policy Priorities and Challenges for China and the World' held at the Shaw Library. Keynote speakers at this two-day conference included Doctor Keyu Jin (LSE), Professor Yan Xiaojun (University of Hong Kong), and Professor Shiping Tang (Fudan University) and sessions covered diverse research topics around the following areas:
1. Economic policy and technology governance
2. Climate change governance
3. Health care and health policy
4. Demography and social policy
