Meet our new ambassadors

Students selected to be CIVICA ambassadors in 2025/26 gathered at the end of November on SGH's campus in Warsaw, Poland. The meeting brought together the alliance's university representatives to discuss future initiatives and plan activities.

CIVICA Ambassadors 2025 747Each university in the alliance has a number of CIVICA ambassadors. Their role is to represent their community and strengthen connections across CIVICA. This year our postgraduate ambassadors are Ayesha and Tomáš, our undergraduate representative is Koshiki, and our Student Board Member is Sophia. We caught up with some of them and asked about their motivation and ambition.

Why did you apply to become a CIVICA ambassador?

Ayesha: Becoming a CIVICA ambassador felt like a natural next step for me; I’m really drawn to the network’s emphasis on cross-institution collaboration and the chance to connect with students who are passionate about social impact and global challenges.

Koshiki: I've been involved in CIVICA since my first year through the Engage Track and have loved meeting students from across Europe. Last year, connecting with peers at SSE and Hertie was a fantastic experience where we got to take advantage of the Student Engagement Fund to implement workshops focused on building knowledge around EU elections. I want to help connect others across campuses, bring ideas to life that highlight the importance of projects across borders, and also show how engagement in CIVICA can lead to long-lasting friendships.

What are you most looking forward to in this role?

Ayesha: I’m especially looking forward to strengthening ties between LSE and partner universities, and contributing to opportunities that help students engage more deeply with European academic and cultural exchanges.

Koshiki: In Warsaw, we discussed the joint-ambassadors project and decided on creating a 'CIVICA Crash Course' designed to showcase the different offerings available at each university. I'm hoping to increase visibility of CIVICA at LSE and get more students involved. This means working with different departments and societies at LSE to raise awareness on how various parts of the university can collaborate on international opportunities.
