Wednesday 7 October, 12-1pm, MAR 9.02: In conversation with Dr Paroma Bhattacharya (Head of Social Innovation at LSE Generate) and Chitraj (Raj) Singh (Founder and CEO of MindHug) about the Resilient Founders programme.
‘Resilient Founders’ is an innovative action research initiative focused on entrepreneurial mental wellbeing, delivered by LSE Generate, ATLAS SkillTech University, and MindHug, with support from the British Council and the LSE Impact Development and Evaluation Fund. It is a pioneering international programme that equips founders with the tools, resources and communities needed to strengthen their resilience and overall wellbeing, and engages funders and ecosystem operators to prioritise founder wellbeing – with an overall vision of co‑creating supportive, resilient entrepreneurial ecosystems across the world.
LSE alumnus Raj Singh is the Founder and CEO of MindHug, an award-winning innovation ecosystem applying psychology, neuroscience, and multisensory design to drive sustainable behaviour change. Paroma Bhattacharya leads LSE Generate's Research and Programme Delivery in the domain of Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship. Her research and practice interests include social business model innovation in emerging economies, social venture teams and social innovation ecosystems.
Wednesday 4 November, 12-1pm, via Zoom: In conversation with Professor Charlie Beckett (JournalismAI), Sannuta Raghu (Scroll.in) and Jeannine McMahon (LSE Consulting) on the JournalismAI Innovation Challenge.
The JournalismAI Innovation Challenge, funded by the Google News Initiative and supported by LSE Consulting, enables small and medium-sized publishers to experiment, implement, and share best practices of AI technologies.
Sannuta Raghu is a journalist with Scroll Media, an award-winning independent small newsroom in India, and part of the 2025 Innovation Challenge cohort. As a team of 20 operating in a country of 1.5 billion people, they wanted to create access to their independent journalism—in the form users want, in a language they prefer, and tailored to the cognitive load they can handle in the moment —while remaining a lean team. As part of the programme they created Factivo AI, a force-multiplier for multi-format journalism.
Charlie Beckett is the founding director of Polis, the think-tank for research and debate around international journalism and society in the Department of Media and Communications at LSE, and director of the LSE's JournalismAI project that works with news organisations around the world to help them use AI responsibly. Jeannine McMahon is associate director of LSE Consulting.
