LSE Nursery coronavirus update

COVID-19 Update: 13 May 2020

We hope all LSE Nursery children, parents, guardians and extended families are well during these uncertain and challenging times. Nursery staff are dearly missing the daily interactions with the children and hope that you have found some of the Teams activities up until mid-April helpful in supporting your children at home.

In accordance with the Government guidance on 18th March 2020, the LSE Nursery closed on Friday 20th March 2020 until further notice. You will be aware that recent Government guidance announced on 10 May 2020 advised that schools and childcare provisions may welcome children back in to their settings from 1 June 2020, subject to further scientific advice and the national situation at that time.  This is part of the government’s conditional plan, which it says will remain under regular review.

The Government has also advised that where employees can work from home, they should, and given advice to employers on health and safety and the need for social distancing. The Nursery will therefore form part of the work that is being carried out on how the campus is reopened on a phased basis.

We will continue to work closely with the School as we plan our next phase of responding to the Covid-19 pandemic.  We will update parents and guardians in due course.

Continued Communication

An email or text message will be sent to parents and carers and announcements will be made on the School Nursery website. Parents may also telephone Nursery Management for further information on Mamselle Jackson, Nursery Manager 07773 004572 or Janine Bye 07971 918913, Deputy Manager.

Thank you again for your continued support, it is very much appreciated.
