Overview
Dori, working with AI Fellow Jon Cardoso-Silva and Steven Williams (Eden Centre), has adapted Jon’s approach into a course-aware AI chatbot now being piloted with students on her Change Management teaching.
Key work and evidence
The chatbot supports administrative queries (deadlines, sessions, materials), explains core theories and frameworks, and provides course-specific guidance. Its most distinctive feature is case analysis support.
Instead of generating model answers, it role-plays the case protagonist (e.g., a CEO or change lead) while the student acts as a consultant – designed to deepen analysis without bypassing the student’s own reasoning.
Key learnings and next steps
Dori’s next steps include developing interactive Artefacts and a simulation-style activity for her teaching.
In parallel, she and Steven are preparing documentation so other academics can create similar course-specific chatbots, extending impact beyond the initial Fellowship cohort. A full rollout across Dori’s courses is planned for the 2026/27 academic year.
She is also prototyping Claude Artefacts for staff use, including an AI Policy Mentor that helps colleagues review and update course AI policies and quickly find relevant guidance.
