LSE's Evaluation and Analysis Team (EAT) supports colleagues across LSE to better understand what our routinely-collected data can tell us about students’ experiences and outcomes, and to use that evidence to inform improvement work.
-
EAT was created as part of the data and analysis strand of the ESE Learning Organisation Programme, to strengthen the School’s ability to gather, interpret and share evidence about education and the student experience.
- Produce and share analysis and insight that supports decision-making
- Develop and improve dashboards and reporting (including visualisation)
- Support survey insight and evaluation activity
- Help colleagues access and use data confidently and responsibly
- Build central capacity to gather, analyse, evaluate and share evidence and insight, aligned to EGI needs and the requirements of different roles across the School in staffing and resources, outputs.
- Improve provision of data and insight by sharing timely, targeted information for key staff groups (e.g. Deputy HoDs, Programme Directors, Academic Mentors, Programme Managers/Administrators and relevant divisional teams) through appropriate channels (e.g. Tableau dashboards, short insight briefings, research outputs and good practice sharing), aligned to ESE objectives.
- Support survey insight by helping colleagues interpret and use survey results effectively.
- Strengthen evaluation by increasing awareness, responsibilities and capability for evaluation across LSE.
- Improve sharing and tracking of practice and insight by supporting central collation and effective reuse of departmental practice, information and evaluation learning.
- Clarify roles and responsibilities so that colleagues across LSE can make the best use of evidence and insight related to education and the student experience.
