The guidelines for promotion for policy staff can be found here.

From 1 September 2026, promotion cases will be considered by the Research Fellow and Policy Staff Promotions Panel. The Panel will meet once a term to consider cases for promotion.

In 2026/27, all cases submitted will be subject to the following submission and review schedule:
