About the project

What is the Risk Assessment Workflow (RAW) project about?

The purpose of the Risk Assessment Workflow (RAW) project is to implement a software system with automated workflow for risk assessments at LSE.

It aims to provide a holistic solution for managing workplace safety for all staff whether they are office-based or not.

The solution will replace the current manual processes which are based on Excel spreadsheets, Word documents and emails, or in many other cases, paper based.

As well as ensuring risk assessments and their corresponding method statements are easily accessible to staff who need to reference them, and that they are auditable, the project aims to also provide an Accident and Incident reporting function. More information about how this system develops will be shared on our updates page as they are added to the project.

If you have any questions about this new system and how it may affect your current role, please email the Health and Safety team at health.and.safety@lse.ac.uk or check our dedicated FAQs page for more information.

Where are we with the project's progress?

We've recently reached out to a select group of testers who are involved with risk assessments as part of their roles at LSE. They'll be trained to use the system on 4 April, then invited to share their feedback.

If you'd be interested in testing the system please email health.and.safety@lse.ac.uk.
