We are experiencing significant calls as a result of the password reset requirement and the Service Desk is working super hard to deal with all calls but there is a delay in getting to everyone.    The best way to contact the Service Desk during this really busy period is by email, (   That way you don’t have to wait on the phone before your call is answered.

  • Personal email address to email you the new password
  • Picture of one form of photo ID (passport, driving licence, national ID card, LSE ID card, etc.)

IT Account Management Issues

To reset your LSE account password, please click here and be prepared to login.

The step-by-step instructions will advise you to go to your Microsoft My Account page and click on "Change Password" located in the password tile.

Enter your old password and then your new one.  Remember: Your new password must be at least 15 characters and meet our other password policy requirements.

Cyber security issues

To report phishing, please send the email as an attachment (not forward or screenshot) to and confirm you didn't click the link/download any attachments. We will get back to you as soon as possible with further advice. 

You can also report spam and phishing directly to Microsoft. In Outlook web client, right click the email in your LSE inbox, click Security options, and then select Mark as junk, Block sender, or Report phishing.
