As a foremost social sciences institution, the LSE community is a meeting point for different ideas, perspectives, and beliefs. This course provides students with the tools necessary for broadening their knowledge and experience of the world by engaging various perspectives with curiosity and openness, even when they diverge from theirs.
Students will learn active listening, thoughtful engagement and constructive disagreement for navigating LSE and the world.

EDI Training for Students
LSE is a diverse and international community. The EDI Student Training is designed to help you prepare to learn, live, and work with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.
The course introduces practical skills for communicating with empathy, engaging in respectful discussion and navigating the different communities you will be part of at LSE. It can support you in seminars, group work, societies, halls and future professional settings.
All incoming students are expected to complete this training, alongside the Consent.Ed.

Consent.Ed is LSE's mandatory programme on consent, and active bystander intervention.
Consent.Ed ensures all students understand LSE's expectations, policies, support services and reporting options. It's a requirement that all postgraduate students complete the programme, regardless of previous training or experience.
