Through events, activities and student-led initiatives, the Campus Relations programme creates spaces for students to meet people outside their usual circles, exchange experiences and ideas, and strengthen a sense of community and belonging on campus.
The Campus Relations Innovation Fund supports this work by providing opportunities for students to bring their ideas for a more connected campus to life. Projects range from small, informal opportunities to meet someone new to activities that encourage conversation, collaboration and cultural exchange. Ideas are submitted by students, developed collaboratively and supported by LSE through funding and delivery.

How it works

Autumn Term dates
Coffee Roulette meetings are taking place during October and November 2026. Coffee vouchers for the Autumn edition are redeemable between 6 October and 8 December 2026.
Do I need to know the person I am meeting?
No. The idea is to introduce you to someone outside your usual academic network.
Who will I be matched with?
You will be matched with another LSE student from a different department.
Do we have to meet at a particular time?
You and your match agree when to meet within the programme period.
What if I don't know what to talk about?
You will receive optional icebreakers and conversation prompts to help get things started.
Do I have to pay for the coffee?
No. Participants receive a voucher for any hot drink and a sweet treat.

2. Kind4LSE
Kind4LSE celebrates the everyday acts of kindness that help make LSE a welcoming and supportive community.
Students and staff can nominate someone from the LSE community whose kindness has made a positive difference to them. This could be a small gesture, an act of care or consideration, or simply someone going out of their way to help another person.
With permission, selected stories, quotes and photographs will be shared through the Kindness Corner in the Volunteer Centre and Kind4LSE social media activity.
How it works

Nominations will continue to be collected throughout the year, with a reception for nominees planned for the end of Winter Term.
What counts as kindness?
Kind4LSE is about recognising acts of care, consideration and helpfulness that positively affect someone else. The focus is on making everyday kindness more visible across campus.
Does it have to be a big gesture?
No. The project is specifically intended to recognise everyday acts that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Will every nomination be published?
Not necessarily. Nominations are reviewed, and stories selected for sharing will be subject to the appropriate permissions.
Will someone know that I nominated them?
It depends on if their story is selected to be shared. If it is, they will be contacted for permission and informed that you have nominated them.
Where will stories be shared?
Stories may be featured in the Kindness Corner at the Volunteer Centre or through social media, with permission

3. Poems from Home
What does home mean to you?
Poems from Home is an opportunity to explore home, culture, language, identity and belonging through poetry.
Share an original poem or an existing poem connected to your culture, country, language or sense of home. Poems in languages other than English are welcome alongside an English translation. Selected submissions will form part of the Poems from Home exhibition in the Marshall Building from 23 to 27 November 2026.
The project is being delivered with the LSE Poetry Society and grew from a student proposal to create an exhibition where members of the LSE community could encounter different experiences of home through poetry.
What can I submit?
- An original poem you have written
- An existing poem connected to your culture, country or language
- A poem that speaks to your idea or experience of home
Submissions may be in another language with an English translation
Does the poem have to be about my literal home?
No. The project takes a broad view of home, including connections to culture, country, language, identity and belonging.
Do I have to write the poem myself?
No. You can submit your own work or an existing poem that has significance to your culture, country or sense of home.
Can I submit a poem that isn't in English?
Yes. Poems in other languages are welcome alongside an English translation.
Where will the poems be displayed?
