Sustainability Comms Mentorship

Help shape LSE's Sustainability Team comms and media.

LSE’s Sustainability team is offering a Sustainability Communications Mentorship.

This year-long (term-time) volunteer role offers CV and career development support in exchange for creating sustainability-related content.

In this role, you’ll manage developing ideas, scriptwriting, filming, and editing content for the @sustainablelse social media page.

What is the time commitment?

You'll meet with the Sustainability Engagement Officer, Bea, once a month and create two videos per month for the Instagram page.

Who should apply?

This role is great for a student looking to get into the sustainability sector when they graduate, so is not suitable for first years.

It's essential for you to be comfortable infront of the camera, and be passionate/knowledgable on sustainability topics. You should also be confident with video editing (Capcut, Edits etc) and social media.

What are the benefits?

Sustainability Engagement Officer, Bea, can check your CV, help with cover letters and give advice for interviews or job applications. She can also provide a reference if you volunteer for the whole year. If you're looking to get into comms, you can build a portfolio with real-world content creation examples.

How to apply:

Email Sustainability Engagement Officer, Bea, a short paragraph on why you'd like the role and attach a short video of yourself explaining a sustainability topic of your choice.

Email b.clementel@lse.ac.uk before Monday 17 November (only open to LSE students, use your LSE email to apply).
