At LSE Generate, we support founders at every stage of the entrepreneurial journey. While much of the startup ecosystem focuses on helping founders get to product-market fit and their first customers, the challenges do not stop there.
For founders approaching or exceeding £1 million in turnover, the questions become different. How do you move from being the person who does everything to building a team that can thrive without you? How do you scale without losing the culture, values and purpose that made your business successful in the first place? How do you create a company that is resilient, investable and built to last?
Our Scaling Founders support is designed for leaders navigating this transition. We focus on the founder, not just the business, helping entrepreneurs reflect, reset and develop the leadership skills needed to build strong-culture scale-ups.

What we offer scaling founders
Scaling a business often leaves little time to step back and think. Founders can become trapped in day-to-day operations, constantly solving problems without creating space to reflect on where they are heading. Our Scaling Founder Clinics are two-hour one-to-one sessions with Joanna Hamer, Senior Entrepreneurship Programme Manager at LSE Generate.
These sessions provide dedicated time to take stock of where you and your business are today, reflect on challenges, opportunities and priorities, reconnect with your long-term vision and purpose, and identify what needs to change in order to scale successfully.
These clinics usually take 2-3 hours, and you can book one by emailing Joanna at j.hamer@lse.ac.uk.
Building a company that grows sustainably requires new ways of thinking about leadership, teams and organisational culture.
Our collection of recorded sessions with Tom Gallio explores the practical realities of scaling a business, including leadership transitions, culture building and creating organisations that can grow beyond their founders. Watch the recordings at your own pace and return to them whenever you need fresh perspective on the challenges of scaling.

As businesses grow, founders face increasingly complex decisions around finance, governance, people, risk and long-term strategy.
Through our partnership with BDO, we have created a library of recorded sessions covering key topics relevant to scaling businesses. Whether you are preparing for growth, strengthening internal processes or planning for future investment, these recordings provide practical insight from experienced advisers.
Explore the session library whenever you need guidance on the next stage of your company's development.

If you're starting to think about the legacy of your startup, LSE's Entrepreneur's Pledge enables founders to make a commitment today to support the future of LSE, while retaining complete control over when, where and how much they choose to give.
The pledge allows you to build giving back into your long-term vision. By joining, you'll become part of a growing community of entrepreneurial alumni who are helping shape the next generation of founders, scholars and changemakers.
