Lars Janér & Danilo Costa, Co-Founders of Educbank & Generate Competition Winners

Lars Janér is the co-founder and CEO of Educbank, the first fintech focused on the K-12 market in Latin America. He has been working in technology  since 2010 and most recently was the General Manager for Instructure in LatAm, building the edtech's business in the region from the ground up and bringing the Canvas VLE to the region's schools and universities. He has a degree in Business Administration from PUC in Rio de Janeiro and a post-graduation degree from UC Berkeley.

Danilo Costa was born and raised in a family with an educational background. At the age of 27, he founded a K-12 startup that owns and operates a low cost school chain in the state of São Paulo, having raised one of the largest rounds in the industry and quickly becoming a key player in the sector. After making an exit in the beginning of 2020, he founded Educbank, which is the first Latin America K-12 fintech.
Before that, Danilo served as an intern in Machado Meyer law firm and BTG Pactual. He has also worked in Itaú BBA and RBR asset as private equity & real estate VP. Mr. Costa holds a bachelor’s degree in Law from Fundação Getulio Vargas.
