In 2025, LSE Generate will be hosting a competition to find a new tenant for this iconic space on the LSE campus.

We are looking for projects that
- Include a compelling, engaging, fun retail offer that contributes to a “village feel” in the pedestrianised area
- Include at least one LSE student or alumni from any year in the founding team, and ways for current students and recent alumni to be involved in meaningful ways with the business
- Make reference to LSE’s history, community or social impact
Join us for an event to see the Old Curiosity Shop space, find out the committee who will be judging the competition, an ask any questions you have.
Tuesday 10th June 2025, 12-13.30, online
Monday 16th June 2025, 18-19.30, in person

Some of the fine print:
- The tenant must be a limited company with appropriate capital, insurance and backing, and must provide a £10k returnable deposit.
- The tenant will be offered a 3-5 year lease of the shop, subject to a turnover rent based on a percentage of net profits.
- The tenant will be responsible for any fit-out of the shop to make it suitable for their retail offer, including furniture and fittings, which must comply with Listed Building Consent.
