Skip Fit

Run by our very own Daniel Beckley who says:

"I want to encourage all staff and students not to be afraid to try skipping. Find a fitness spot at your place of work, and visit that spot regularly to recharge your batteries.

So instead of trying to find reasons why you can't, try and find reasons why you can. Most people are more frightened by the thought of doing something, than they ever are when actually doing it.

If you're feeling blue, take some exercise - it often helps lift the spirit as the spirit is always young, no matter how old the flesh. After you have pushed yourself hard, relax. Play is just as important as work. Keep going!"

If you have any questions, contact Daniel Beckley

Ugo Monye loves playing - https://www.o2touch.co.uk/videos/how-to-play/... But the Australians and New Zealanders are the best in the world (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pS4dZPqdWJk, check out the pass at 51 seconds!).

Crystal started playing touch rugby in high school in New Zealand, and since moving to the UK has played, managed and coached her way up the England ranks.  She’s running through some of the basics of touch rugby and has promised us a session that will include lots of fun and games!

Please make sure that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear for any activities you wish to join. Most of these activities can be enjoyed whatever your level of fitness; separate guidance has been added to those activities that are more physically demanding. Above all, please let your trainer know before the activity starts if you have any questions or concerns or special requirements.

The Festival’s activities are open to all staff and we hope to see as many of you getting involved as possible. We also appreciate that it’s a busy time of year for some areas of the School, so do take a moment to check with your line manager and colleagues before signing up – that way, any potential disruption can be kept to a minimum and everyone who is interested will have the chance to participate.
