Statement from LSE Director:

Being part of LSE means that we work together to create an inclusive, accessible and safe environment for all

As a School, we are committed to treating all people with equal dignity and respect, ensuring that no one will be treated less favourably because of - among other things - their gender, ethnicity and race, religion or belief, sexual orientation, or social and economic background.  LSE is committed to working to end bullying, harassment, sexual violence and hate crime.  That is why I am pleased to announce the growth of our Safe Contacts network at the School, to help ensure colleagues and students feel safe, supported and valued.

Safe Contacts are members of LSE staff who have received training and can offer a confidential 'signposting' service for staff and students who have previously or are currently experiencing some form of bullying or harassment. The Safe Contact volunteers are supported by our EDI team who are working to build an inclusive LSE in which everyone is able to fulfill their potential, and all contributions are valued.

As I have said before, as a School we are stronger when we come together and our Safe Contacts are an important part of protecting and supporting all voices that make up this incredible community.
