The Audit Committee is a standing committee of Council. It is responsible for assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the School’s controls, governance and risk management; economy, efficiency and effectiveness; and the management and quality assurance of data submissions, in accordance with the authority delegated to it by Council. The Committee’s remit covers all activities of the School.

The role of Ethics Committee is to provide governance oversight and assurance to Council on ethical matters affecting the School in order to contribute to the achievement of strategic objectives and to meeting regulatory and legal obligations.

The Finance and Estates Committee is a standing committee of Council. It is responsible for the governance of finance and estates matters, in accordance with the authority delegated to it by Council. The Committee’s remit covers the activities of the School and, where applicable, its interests and activities in subsidiary companies, joint ventures and commercial partnerships.

Finance and Estates Committee holds responsibility delegated from Council for the strategic oversight, management and governance of all LSE investments including funds held for working capital, capital projects and investment, and endowments. Investments Sub-Committee is the body through which the Finance and Estates Committee fulfils these responsibilities.
