An introduction to Augmented Reality

1-6pm, Wednesday 27 February, Ravensbourne University London

This half day taster session is an introduction to the concept of Digitally Augmenting the real world using your mobile phone.

You will discover creative ways of recognizing images, symbols and objects in the physical world and reconfiguring them to deliver new digital content in real time, including videos, animations, audio or webpages that express a whole new meaning.

Please note - an iOS or Android smart phone is require for this course, and you'll need to be aged 19+ to take part. You'll need to be able to travel to Ravensbourne University to attend this workshop.

Crafty data visualisation workshop

2-3:30pm, Wednesday 27 February 

Do you want to communicate your ideas creatively with your audience? Come along to this crafty data visualisation workshop facilitated by the LSE100 team to learn how to present quantitative and qualitative data in informative ways that will capture your audience’s attention and imagination.

Drawing on principles of playful learning, this workshop will help you to develop new techniques to visualise all types of data, bringing your ideas to life. All members of the LSE community are welcome to join us at this workshop as part of this year’s LSE Festival – come along with an idea of what you want to communicate, and we’ll provide the rest!
