Part-time Opportunity: Digital Skills Trainer - Power BI

  • c. £26.14 - £31.48/hour (depending on experience) 
  • Part-time c. 20-30 hrs/week, from 1 August 2024 to 30 September 2024

The Digital Skills Lab is seeking an experienced digital skills trainer to work as part of a team to assist in developing and delivering effective and engaging Power BI training.

The team will deliver an intensive training course to take place between 2 September 2024 and 20 September 2024 on the LSE campus. Each Trainer will be teaching approximately 20 participants. Trainers will be expected to work 20-30 hours per week for the duration of the course and to undertake the marking of a final assessment in the week after the course.

Successful candidates will have experience in delivering training in Power BI.

  • Flipped training experience is desirable. 
  • Experience training Power BI with business / finance focus is desirable.

Part-time Opportunity: Digital Skills Trainer - NVivo

  • £26.14 - £31.48/hour (depending on experience)
  • This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2024 (possible extension to 31 July 2025) 

    Start Date:  As soon as possible
  • Candidates must be residing in the UK for this role

The Digital Skills Lab is seeking an experienced trainer to deliver effective and engaging technical training to LSE students and staff both online and in person. Workshops are currently delivered online via Zoom and in person training takes place on campus in accordance with government guidelines. Each workshop will last between 1 to 3 hours and will have up to 16 participants. Trainers will be expected to work between 5 to 10 hours per week.

The successful candidate will have experience in delivering training in NVivo and be able to re-purpose existing learning content to deliver short, high-quality training courses.  Experience of any of the following technologies listed is also desirable:

  • Python, R, SPSS, SQL, Stata, Tableau, Git/GitHub, LaTeX, MatLab
  • Web scraping
  • Machine Learning techniques
  • Database design and SQL
  • Text Analysis
  • Database design and SQL
  • Text Analysis
  • Markdown , particularly R Markdown
