Our dear Prof Saw sadly passed away yesterday. LSE alumnus, extraordinary benefactor, Honorary Fellow and the greatest friend of the School. Prof Saw lived to give - he was always focused on others. For his insights across statistics, demography and economics, he was unbelievably humble. His philanthropy was not only visionary, but tireless and wide ranging. His legacy at LSE is immense - including the Saw Swee Hock Student Centre, the Saw Swee Hock Southeast Asia Centre and the many thriving students and alumni he financially supported. May you rest in peace, Prof Saw, and rise in glory.
