LSE Standing Together in Loss

A virtual candle lighting site for remembering loved ones, and bereavement groups.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, the Faith Centre created LSETogether.org for lighting virtual candles in memory of loved ones and for holding each other in our thoughts and prayers.

We held a memorial service for the LSE community and hosted regular Bereavement Groups to provide a space for mutual support and sharing.

"The LSE community is living through unprecedented times that have brought grief closer to all of us, and many of us know those who are experiencing the loss of a loved one, or are grieving ourselves. But even though we are physically separated, we are not alone. We can still stand together to remember our loved ones and support those friends and colleagues whom we know are grieving at this time." - The LSE Chaplain, Prof James Walters in 2020

It’s so much darker when a light goes out than it would have been if it had never shone.
