LSE Students' Union Gym Membership Loan

In order to qualify for a loan to pay for annual gym membership, staff must have:

• a salaried contract of employment
• a contract of employment that is not due to expire before the last date of their gym membership, and
• no more than 1 month's payment outstanding from any previous gym loan

1. Download the gym membership application form and take this to the reception desk at the gym for approval

• Once the gym has approved your application, download and complete the application form for an annual gym membership loan and email the completed form electronically to fin.div.payroll@lse.ac.uk
• Once your application has been processed you will receive a confirmation email from the gym informing you that your membership has been activated
• The full cost of the loan will then be deducted from your net salary over the 12 months that follow

I would like to join the gym next month. When should I apply for a loan to pay for the annual gym membership? 

You must apply by the payroll deadline of the month that precedes the month you wish to start your membership (e.g. An application to start from 1st February would need to be received by the payroll deadline for January).

How much money can I expect to save? 

The current annual cost is £300.00. You can expect to save £150.00 over twelve months, when compared against the monthly fee of £37.50. Your monthly deductions will be £25.00.
